About Dragons in the Army (Book)

Descrição

Our armies are gaining more and more hold on the battlefield each day. The reconnaissance by the dragons alone gives us an edge, not to mention their awesome fighting powers. I fully accept the dragon of our unit as my superior. His intelligence and might qualifies him clearly for such a position, and secretly I am somewhat glad I could get rid of much of the responsibility. I was only a minor noble with little military training before circumstances forced me to fill one of the open positions in the regrouped army. As far as the rumours go though, such acceptance is not always the case. Especially the older officials have some problems to accept an outsider as an superior. The matter gets even more complicated as there is no official word from the emperor regarding the hierarchy between officials and our new allies. Some of the governors are also concerned about their influence over the troops. I really hope we will not send our powerful allies away anytime soon. The orcs are still a threat. Even if they lack unity and an overall plan, their sheer numbers are a problem and our own army is still in the process of rebuilding.
