Chapter I - The Departure - This is the tale of Joran and Yvette and how they saved the world of Tibia from bleaching out.
Joran lived in Carlin and was the son of a carpenter. He was brave and courageous and wanted to become a knight. Yvette was a girl who lived in Carlin. She could play the lute and the harp and loved to tell stories through her songs. Queen Eloise is the ruler of Carlin, a direct descendant of the first human Banor, and daughter of Queen Elorana. One day, while Yvette was practicing an old melody, she heard a strange rustling sound. A creature, half human and half bird, appeared before her, introducing himself as Quill. 'Yvette', Quill whispered. 'The world of Tibia is gradually losing all its colour. We need your help!' Yvette agreed and asked her friend Joran to accompany her. Queen Eloise gave Joran a sword that once belonged to a great hero and Yvette a magical lute. 'Go and save the world of Tibia from bleaching out,' she said.
Chapter II - The Journey - This chapter describes how Joran, Yvette and Quill travelled the woods of Tibia.
Yvette, Joran and Quill wandered north and met Humphrey, the healer, who blessed them for their journey with the Embrace of Tibia. Then they continued their journey, now heading east. They hoped to get some help with their quest in Ab'Dendriel. On their way to Ab'Dendriel, Joran, Yvette and Quill come across an amazon camp. 'Be careful,' Quill advised them. 'The amazons aren't particularly friendly towards men.' The amazons of Tibia are skilled distance fighters. Their tribes consist exclusively of women and they are very determined to defend their homes. In fact, the amazons were initially suspicious of Joran and Quill. However, they befriended Yvette, and so the three were allowed to spend the night in the camp. When the amazons accidentally startled some bramble wyrmlings near their camp, a fight ensued. When Joran helped them and they saw how brave he was, they accepted him and even taught him how to use a bow. After saying goodbye to the amazons, Joran, Yvette, and Quill continued their journey to Ab'Dendriel. There they met the elven healer Edala. Ab'Dendriel is a city mostly inhabited by elves. Nearly all of the houses are built on and inside of trees. Most of the elves here believe in Crunor, the tree god. On their way through the woods, the three found an injured white deer. He was able to speak and introduced himself as Alkestios. They decided to go back to Ab'Dendriel to ask for help for the deer. Edala helped Joran, Yvette, and Quill heal Alkestios. She showed them which healing herbs to use and how to prepare a bandage. So they could heal the white deer. Then Joran, Yvette, and Quill continued their journey. In the forest, they saw strange creatures that were half rabbit and half bird. Yvette called them hawk hoppers and wrote a song about them. They travelled south and came to a fairy glade. They asked the fairy there if she knew why the colours were disappearing from the world, but unfortunately, she had no answer. So the three continued their journey towards Kazordoon. They hoped that the king of the dwarves might know something.
