Warrior Monk Pilgrims

Over the centuries, individual monks have been chosen to travel the world of Tibia incognito on the "Three-Fold Path" to study and learn the ways of the outside world. These so-called pilgrims have rarely taken part in battles or settled down outside of the valley. Their sole purpose being one of learning and documenting, they either found their way back to the valley after years of wanderings or died alone on foreign soil. It is unlikely that any records or historical figures would have mentioned them or their culture specifically. Any encounters with their unique fighting style would have been waved aside as exotic forms of combat training.

The first pilgrims erected shrines all over the world of Tibia, hidden and their purpose unbeknownst to any traveler or even scholar to stumble upon them on their journeys. Every monk, being a pilgrim or not, is required to travel them once at any point in his or her lifetime. This pilgrimage is one of hardship, trials and deprivations. Similar to a regular pilgrim, the monk has to visit each shrine at least once and travel in disguise. The three elements of totality are always to be reflected on each shrine of the Three-Fold Path: harmony, enlightenment, power. Any encounters with the outside world are to be documented and reported. Damages to the shrines are to be repaired, this is also one of the most important duties of every monk during the pilgrimage. While on the pilgrimage, regular monks are not allowed to hunt or steal vegetables to sate their hunger. After the journey, the monk will not linger but return to the valley. Monks will not return to any of the shrines after successfully overcoming the pilgrimage as the path is meant to establish a balance and provide a meaningful and satisfactory end for the journey across the outside world.
